The Aesthetics presentation in Berlin was a terrific success and the curators of Embedded Art, Olaf Arndt, Janneke Schönenbach, Cecilia Wee, Moritz von Rappard and Zsolt Barat did a wonderful job of “Embedding” Aesthetics into their exhibition. Joshua Simon and I toured groups around all weekend meeting curatorial groups from Italy and Germany and speaking to many representative from the press. Images from the Berlin exhibition will be appearing shortly on this website.

Just a reminder - the book, The Aesthetics of Terror, will be available from June. Send a request into the site to reserve your copy.

d for both visibility and obfuscation along conflicting ideological line.

This website for the exhibition was created to establish a VISIBILITY AND A DIALOGUE on art’s relation to and depiction of terror. IMAGES from the original exhibition, selections from catalogue TEXTS and LINKS to artist’s pages and websites are intended to present an overall conception of the exhibition to date.

But the website creates an opportunity not available in the museum – the possibility to
EXCHANGE VIEWS/POST IDEAS via the BLOG and eventually to encourage the submission of additional work that can be added to the image gallery with the hope of creating a truly international view much larger than the domain of an individual curator. The web site will be updated on a regular bases as the project evolves.

UPDATE

We have just unfortunately found out that the planned exhibit at Rose Art Museum in Brandeis University in September 2009 has been cancelled as this institution has just announced its closure (January 26th 2009) and the decision to sell its collection. Of course, we deeply regret this sad development. - discussion on BLOG.
